As fast as the wind

Walt: discuss the problems and the solutions in sequence.
                                                     As fast as the wind

In this story there is a boy named Te aho  who is starting a new school the next day. When he was trying to go to sleep the wind was blowing very heavily and he was getting scared. He was scared of starting a new school and because they play rugby but he didn't play rugby at his old school and he didn't know how to play.

When he got to school and started playing rugby he wanted he koro to be there watching him score his first ever try. When he was going for his try he got a gust of wind he ran faster and faster speeding through all the other players “dive for it” screamed a voice. He dived. TRY someone shouted. He then was confident about his school and the wind. His fairs of the wind and rugby lets not forget school is over.

Myrtle the turtle

WALT: retell the story

One morning there was a little girl named Emma she was in a class that had a turtle in it. The turtles name is Myrtle.

The class took him for daily walks. Emma’s class loved to talk to Myrtle they loved him very much. One day after they took him for his daily walk he was cold so when they put him in his aquarium he crawled slowly towards the heater in his aquarium.

When Myrtle the turtle was on the heater Emma decided to go see her. When Emma got there she saw Myrtle very very still and not moving. She called for the teacher and said “ Miss Terry come quick” . Miss terry came and saw that Myrtle wasn’t moving. After a while they found he was dead. Emma and the class was very sad. They buried her Then the next day Emma saw her head pop out. They called the vet. The vet said he can live with three legs. Everyone was happy to have her back.

Money Wise

WALT: write a response to the talk by Evan

                                                               Money Wise

On Wednesday Evan came to our school he was talking about spending, earning and saving money.Evan is from the ASB bank. He was helpful because he helped us in how to earn our money how to have a budget well spending it and also how to save our money. I think that he should come back because he was funny well teaching us about how to use our money carefully. He was very helpful because normally I spend whatever I get but now i have thought about saving half and spending the other half. I think that he made most of room 11 & 12 listen because he was also funny and so it made us listen more to what he was saying. He gave us a lot of advice , he told us how he use to spend his money as a teenager and helped me understand how to use my money.Lastly I appreciate him coming because he helped us a lot , he gave us advice and told us how to use our money he also told us the legal ages of getting a debit card and bank cards.

Pyramid Builder

Walt: write in paragraphs

Everyday I get up early because, I am a pyramid builder. Its hard to be a pyramid builder. I get up at 6am to build the pyramids. Its not as fun as people might think it is. Its really hard and tiring. I have to wear no shoes because I don't have shoes to do my work in and walk around in.

First I cut the blocks of stone to make the shape for the pyramids. To make the right shape I use a chisel, saw or hammer. The floor of the pyramid is made out of stone. The outside of the pyramids were made out of stone. The inside of the pyramids are made of clay. On the insides I did artwork of the gods . We get to drink water and get bread to eat for lunch. When I work I get really sweaty, hot and really really really tired.

The pyramids that I built were specially made for the kings that have passed away.
